Back to Burroughs. Here’s what you need to know.
- We are playing Lamar Chivas. They finished 2nd in Super 2 last fall, earning promotion to the B bracket of Division One Competitive. They are ranked 17th in Eastern District (we are 28th). BUT, we tied them 0-0. I was not there, but I heard it was a tough, physical game.
- Kickoff is 3pm at Burroughs Park field 4, the same field we play on Saturday. We need to arrive by 2:15pm. We are the home team, so wear blue but of course always bring the white jersey as well.
- Weather will be even more of an issue than Saturday. The chances of rain will be higher, and there is a cold front that is supposed to move through as well, and it will likely move through Tomball earlier than in town. The forecast I have as of midday Friday is for temperatures in the upper 50s, so be prepared for anything.
I don’t have too much to say about Lamar Chivas. I wasn’t at the game, and the boys should be pretty familiar with them. We know we can play them, and we also know we can’t take them for granted.
